Go Bare Fitness, Owner/Coach
My mission is to empower women & girls in all aspects of life, not just in being physically fit. There's so much more to it. When we can own our strengths and be confident in who we are, we are unstoppable. When we realize what we are capable of we want more. When we want more and know we can achieve it, no obstacles or negative thoughts can get in the way. Wellness and happiness are achieved by living mindfully, truthfully and in the present. Consistency and accountability are key. My purpose is to help women & girls find theirs and teach them that once they know their purpose and worth, they have the power to do anything.
Santa Monica, CA
I'm a Santa Monica mom of two small people and two rescue dogs. I've been a health & fitness coach for over a decade but my love for being physically fit started way back in the days of Jane Fonda, step aerobics and the Stair Master. I have coached many women and girls over the years and I've seen firsthand how important it is to teach the importance of confidence and hard work at a young age. I believe that we all have the power to make our dreams become reality but sometimes we need to be reminded and sometimes we need help believing. Strength and purpose come in many forms and my passion is helping people find theirs - whatever that may be. When I'm not working I love decorating my home, hanging with my dogs and spending as much time as possible with my family & friends. I love all baked goods, pizza, sushi, donuts (I know, the worst!) and I enjoy a day at the beach just as much as I enjoy thick green trees and mountains. If I had to choose one exercise to do for the rest of my life it would be push-ups. Sneakers? Nike. Heels? Sergio Rossi. Zip up or pullover? Pullover with hood! Most of all, I love creating that space for people to be who they are, no excuses.
Q & A
What inspired you to become an entrepreneur?
Shawnte Satinover - I worked in finance for almost ten years and while I loved it, I knew that I wanted to have a job with more freedom as I was raising my family. I felt I had more to offer the world and I could do that while being a full time mom if I was bold enough to start my own business.
What does success mean to you?
That's a tough one! Success is something I will personally always strive for because I don't believe there is a point in which I can throw in the towel and feel that I've reached every level of success available to me. I can recognize and appreciate what I think is success in others but have a hard time seeing in myself so I keep going. I suppose success to me means financial freedom, ownership of who you are and what you've accomplished, and that along the way you have done something that had a positive impact on others. And in doing so you stayed true to yourself, never compromised your standards and lived your life & purpose with integrity.
Who inspires you?
Shawnte Satinover - sounds so cliche, but my mom. She possesses a joy for life that I've always admired and she lives in the present instead of focusing on what has already happened or worrying on what might happen.
What is your favorite quote?
Shawnte Satinover - A winner has a solution for every problem.
